Funasaka Yoshisuke (舩坂 芳助) is also known by collectors as “The Lemon Man” and “The Hole Man” for his repeated use of those two objects in a series of popular prints. He is the son of artist Funasaka Masayoshi and graduated from Tama Art University in 1962. He began winning prizes in 1970 and began teaching in 1974. His works are held in MOMAT, The British Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Library of Congress and many, many other collections.  Here is a serigraph entitled “Work 985” from 1988.
