Toyohara Kunichika was a hard-working, hard-drinking member of the Utagawa School who was always backstage at the theater sketching the artists performing kabuki. This piece depicts a daimyo in the throes of conflict. Good condition (folding lines from being a kuchi-e [folded into book] print). Fine impressions.
