Description
See the 250 year old Japanese painting in Karsh’s living room in David Cronenberg’s “The Shrouds”, as well as dozens of other Japanese museum-quality paintings. Hear the curator, Grey, who was married in Japan in 2006, explain the ancient meanings of each piece, and the historical, socio-political situations surrounding the artists. The curator will field all questions.
*Grey was contacted in early 2024 and was asked to submit paintings for Cronenberg’s film project. After weeks of communication, David chose the oldest, most impressive of the paintings submitted – and for very good, ancient, mystical symbolic reasons, -which will be revealed at the lecture.
