Izumo Taisha Shrine (likely from his Famous Views of the Sixty-odd Provinces series) is unique for its monumental composition. It expertly uses bokashi (gradation) to evoke a sacred, misty atmosphere, separating the human and spiritual worlds. Series: Famous Places in the 60-odd Provinces.

Handmade in the Showa period by the best artisans at Oedo Mokuhansha -a highly respected Tokyo-based publisher active from the 1950s to the present (see their seal on the back of the print). Their prints are valued for capturing the essence of the Edo period through traditional methods, passed down through generations of craftsmen. Good impression, bleed and saturation into handmade washi paper.

Condition: Excellent. In original archival folder. -Will look spectacular when professionally framed.
