47th station : Seki (Departure from the inn). A Daimyo’s retinue is about ready to depart on another leg of their long journey. The lords had to, by decree of the shogunate, spend considerable time in Edo (now Tokyo) and travelling to and from it. This kept them busy and under that watchful eye of their master. Handmade in the mid-20th century by some of the best living carvers and hand-printers alive. Very good condition.
