Thirty-six Views Of Mt. Fuji is the only edo-period series of Fuji that could rival that of Hokusai.
Sun’en ōigawa – 駿遠大井川 (“The Ōi River between Suruga and Totomi Provinces”). Handmade in 1975 by the best artisans alive at the time working at the Adachi Institute (see Adachi stamps in last photo). Good impression, bleed and saturation into handmade washi paper (see last picture for saturation and bleed through to the verso). Very hard to find and acquire. Provenance: Acquired during my last trip to Kyoto, 11/2025.
Condition: Excellent. In original titled archival folder (lightly tipped top left corner). With high-quality, hand-printed “bokashi” shading gradations. -Will look spectacular if professionally framed.
