Dōmoto Inshō – 堂本印象 (1891-1975) – Small Flowers In A Cup – コップの小花
$120.00 CAD
SOLD – THANK-YOU!
This is a wonderful example of the delicate work that could be done by Dōmoto-san. His work is so beloved by the Japanese people that they established a permanent museum in Kyoto (The Inshō Dōmoto Museum of Fine Arts), designed by him, that is dedicated mostly to his work. He was made an Imperial Household Artist in 1944 and received the Order of Culture in 1961.
In excellent condition. It is tipped to the title card at the top verso. There is a bit of glare in the photos as it was photographed behind glass. The verso shows the bleed and saturation in the washi.
