The Gohon style comes from Korea and falls into the Mishima-ware category of pottery. Ancient symbolism is carved into the clay before glazing. This piece feels wonderful in the hands and has a rustic, humble beauty with subtle shading gradation of peach, rose and grey. A hoju, featured on either side of the bowl is auspicious as the sacred jewel of wish fulfillment.
