Mt. Fuji with cherry blossoms is an iconic pairing in the annals of Japanese art. The composition is auspicious for immortality, feminine beauty and sensuality, and a reminder of things that are wabi-sabi – that is, things that are beautiful, but fleeting and imperfect. Nanpo Shuen is a relatively young painter and there is very little biographical information available. A few small stains. Good normal condition.
