Niwano-san was a Nichiren Buddhist leader who was made a Knight Commander with the Silver Star of the Order of St. Gregory the Great by the Vatican in 1992. His poetry on this peace teaches us to be like to Buddha, embrace the Yin and the Yang and be conduits of truth (one of the symbols of the moon) and the pure land.
