Paradise Bound on YouTube.

Nukina Kaioku was a legedary painter, poet and calligrapher who was the master of many other great artists, including one of our very favorites, Hine Taizan. He is buried at the strikingly beautiful Kōdai-ji temple in Kyoto. This phrase is something to meditate upon as often as possible, its benefits cannot be overstated, it is thousands of years old, and comes from ancient Chinese “Book of Documents”.

This piece was remounted a couple of decades ago and the mounting is in excellent condition except for a couple of small creases on the upper right edge. The honshi (painted area of washi) is in normal “good” condition for its age – creases, aging, small damages etc. He had many pseudonyms and name seals. Please refer to the 6th photo to compare the seals and confident brush strokes with another piece of his in a private collection in Japan.

26″ x 48″ – Comes with a sealed document of authenticity and hours worth of reading and documentary viewing. Price includes shipping worldwide! All prices in Canadian dollars.
