A gorgeous piece of one of Tokyo’s most beautiful temples, and one of the few to survive the bombings of WWII! Handmade in 1950. From the series, “Hanga Kyoraku Ju-go Kei” (Fifteen Views of Kyoto). Tomikichiro created prints from start to finish in his own workshop (Sōsaku-hanga), but also earned a living with Shin-hanga (collaborative efforts overseen by publishers). Born in Kyoto, he was a graduate of the School of Fine Arts and Crafts. He is fairly well known in the west. Very good condition. Already perfectly matted!
