One of the most historically important bridges in Japan, Nijubashi figures into the architecture of Edo Castle. This piece is part of the 50 print series “Scenes Of Sacred Places And Historic Landmarks”. Hand-printed limited edition from 1941.

Tomikichiro created prints from start to finish in his own workshop (Sōsaku-hanga), but also earned a living with Shin-hanga (collaborative efforts overseen by publishers). Born in Kyoto, he was a graduate of the School of Fine Arts and Crafts. He is fairly well known in the west. Very good condition. *Please click the top left corner of the pictures to enlarge them.
