“Yamato Kawakami Shrine” (大和丹生川上神社) by Tomikichiro Tokuriki was first published in September 1941. It is part of the series Seichi Shiseki Meisho (“Scenes of Sacred Places and Historic Landmarks”). First editions were published by Uchida Bijutsu Shoten (Uchida Art) in Kyoto.

Tomikichiro created prints from start to finish in his own workshop (Sōsaku-hanga), but also earned a living with Shin-hanga (collaborative efforts overseen by publishers). Born in Kyoto, he was a graduate of the School of Fine Arts and Crafts . He is fairly well known in the west.

This print contains ancient symbolism that is auspicious for the home in which it hangs. This symbolism will be shared upon its purchase.

Size = 10.25″ x 15.5″ (print size). Comes in the original folder with a sealed document of authenticity.
