Toyohara Kunichika – 豊原国周 (1835-1900) – Benkei – 西塔武蔵坊弁慶

Toyohara Kunichika was a hard-working, hard-drinking member of the Utagawa School who was always backstage at the theater sketching the artists performing kabuki. This piece depicts a daimyo in the throes of conflict. Good condition (folding lines from being a kuchi-e [folded into book] print). *Please click on the top left corner of the picture to expand the image.
