Nakamura-san was a blossoming flower on the stage that had started to become very popular with the public as a talented “onnagata” and could have become Nakamura Utaemon VI, but he was taken early from this life by peritonitis.

Utagawa Kunisada III was a prolific heir to the prowess of the Utagawa School. Here, his work is signed by his pseudonym “Hosai”. -One small repair to the back with the proper imported washi repair tape, toning and ageing to the fleshtones.
