Yoshimoto Gessō woodblocks were found after the passing of famous collector and art dealer Robert O. Muller. This piece is from the original blocks. Gorgeous details from the master-carver and expert bokashizuri from the master-printer.

This print contains 7-fold ancient symbolism that is auspicious for the home in which it hangs. One of these is the plum blossoms, which are auspicious for overcoming adversity, and success. All of the symbolism will be shared upon purchase.

Size = 3.2″ x 13.5″ (tanzaku size – perfect for that narrow portion of wall that has been difficult to fill). In original archival folder from Kabutoya Galleries, San Francisco, which was one of the best Japanese Art dealers in the US in the sixties and seventies. Price includes shipping world-wide. Comes with a document of authenticity and 3 hours worth of further reading and documentary viewing.
