The most prominent student of Eishi, Chōkōsai Eishō was a prolific in the field of portraits of beautiful women. Here, the woman is contentedly tending to her nails. The photo here does not do justice to the elegant blues of the kimono.  Stamped “Adachi Institute” on the back, this high quality re-carve was made in the exact traditional manner as the original and comes in the original double folder. Beautiful larger size. Date: Shōwa period. Excellent condition. Will look perfect in the hall next to the bathroom entrance.
